FTC Registration and Costs
Registration for the 2011-2012 is open!
To participate in the 2011-2012 FTC season, you must first register your team into our Team Information Management System (TIMS)
The program registration fee for North American teams for the 2011-2012 season will be $275 U.S. This fee will enable teams to participate in official FIRST Tech Challenge tournaments and to order the kit of parts and software license updates for the season. Teams outside of North America can contact their local partner to register. Please visit our Regional Contacts page to find a contact for your area.
Please note that this registration fee covers only the FIRST official registration, and does not guarantee participation in an official tournament.

FTC Tournament Event Registrations:
Once you have registered with FTC, find an event(s) in your region by clicking: What's Going On in My Area? Check the gold FIRST Tech Challenge box at the top of the page, and choose the appropriate pull down menu to display your area. Once you find a tournament you are interested in attending, click on the link for registration information.
Event dates and venues are usually posted in September and October, but new events may be added during the season.
Events are organized by our volunteer Affiliate Partners, therefore the registration process and costs to participate vary from event to event. Event registration fees are paid to the event organizer, not directly to FIRST Tech Challenge.

The following sample budget is for a new team, purchasing one FTC Competition Kit and participating in one event. If your team chooses to purchase an additional kit and/or participate in multiple events, the fees would vary accordingly. Travel costs vary due to the distance and time needed to travel to an event.
